The Symposium featured a series of individual presentations showcasing the breadth of organizations contributing to the dialogue on malaria through 5 minute SoundBites, 10 minute talks and a poster session, as well as networking opportunities with representatives of Bay Area organizations working on malaria. Designed to share knowledge, foster exchange, encourage collaboration and raise awareness, the all-day event brought together over 140 attendees and presenters representing the growing interdisciplinary community of local researchers, implementers and advocates in the global fight against malaria. This year, every registration went toward the purchase of an insecticide treated mosquito net for distribution in Africa thanks to Nothing But Nets!
